Once again Footscray players featured at the Victorian Rugby Awards. The incomparable Zerlina Dyer won the "Best player in the Women's Competition" award for the 2nd year running. This year she received the award from the Rebels' Cooper Vuna! Cooper was of course very excited meeting such a fantastic rugby player! Luke Mears won the Premier Division's highest point scorer's award. And who can forget his match winning, top 4 re-arranging drop goal from the last play of the last match of the last round of the season?

Yes, we do have a Women's team and you can join for 2012! Call or email us, or just show up at training on Thursday night.

Juniors wanted for 2012, from 6 years young! Contact Jesse (0425742736) for information.

For a complete list of the all the 2011 Awards Winners please refer to the "News" section. All the stats for seniors & women for 2010 are in the Resource Library.

If you used to play in the "Good Old Days" check if your stats live up to your stories at the bar in the Footscray 1967 to 2005 stats sheet, also in the resource library.

Footscray RUFC has been established since 1928 supporting both 1st and 2nd, 3rd and even 4th Grade teams, Colts and Juniors, winning several premierships and producing 5 Wallabies along the way. We are located at the Henry Turner reserve, next to the VU and Footscray Park.

We welcome any new players that would like to come down for a run next season, whether they're a former Wallaby or Rugby novice.

We always need more support staff for our teams, team managers, 1st aiders, anybody who wants to help a hand on matchdays, feel free to contact us, by phone (8417 5005 during work hours) or email (andre.vanderschee@beca.com).
